Here is a bit that is designed for the finished horse. The port on this bit is flat and concave with rollers on the bars that allow for a little delay in the action of the bit. This bit has a lot of feel and rate. Another important design aspect is the ball hinge used for connecting the mouthpiece to the shanks. This allows for a very smooth and pinchless joint. This bit encorporates a very unusual shank design with beautiful silver work. The shanks are 8 1/4 inches.
