Here's a bit by Pat Vaughn that would be a wonderful cowhorse bit. It has a medium port with copper roller and hood (notice the cutout in the hood which prevents debris from stopping up the roller). It has loose jawed 7 shanks with a solid bit hobble. The shanks and hobble are overlaid with engraved sterling silver.
